Cressida is well known for her rug designs. They have a grounding in the age old traditions of the rug weavers art, but still show an individualism and a contemporary edge.
Hali Magazine describes one of her rugs as 'a conscious reinterpretation of traditional carpet weaving vocabulary. The combination of art and intellect would surely have earned the rug a place in her grandparents’ home in Charleston in Sussex' .
She has designed shaped rugs, stair carpets, runners, and a giant oval carpet for the British Consulate in Hong Kong. Designs can be commissioned and produced in a variety of ways including hand knotted and gun tufted methods.
